Exciting Announcement: Audiobook Version of Portal in Production

It took me a while to find the right narrator for The Portal & the Panther, but I think I finally found him in Andrew Cornelius.  Take a listen to his audition for my first book (it’s the prologue — no spoilers are included):

And I also had Andrew do a “call-back” audition after I’d narrowed the field to him and one other potential narrator.  When I heard what he could do from a sound engineering point of view, I was convinced that he was the right guy.

Meet Andrew Cornelius

Andrew is principally a comedic actor based in New York City.  He narrates audiobooks for independent authors as a side-gig.  It might be his flare for comedy and quirkiness that I like about him.  Although Jon Parker is a mostly serious guy — and he gets more serious as the books go on — he also has a smart-alec sense of humor that matches up with Andrew’s.  For example:

Andrew and I are both super busy this summer, so don’t expect the audiobook version of The Portal and the Panther until late August or early September.
